Tell-Tale Teapots is a collectible range of decorative teapots brought to you by the creators of the famous Finnians. Together the teapots form the small Irish village of Ballykettle. Each teapot measures about 8 by 5.5 inches and has its own stories and secrets - but these are only told by its neighbour, who are only too happy to share them with you.

Tell-Tale Teapots

Sergeant Maguire's Garda Station

Sergeant Maguire's Garda StationMy name is Mick Maguire and I am the local Sergeant in Ballykettle for over twenty five years, and my father was the Sergeant here before me. The Maguires have been keeping law and order in Ballykettle nigh on seventy years.

Sally Byrne's Pub

Sally Byrne's PubYou are honoured to have found the oldest and most famous pub in Ballykettle. Generations of Byrnes have served this community well since the old days when we were the only watering hole for miles around.

Paddy Keogh's Cottage

Paddy Keogh's CottagePaddy Keogh is the name and I don't mind admitting I'm ambitious and determined to be rich and successful. I'm in the building trade all my life and indeed my ancestors have built nearly every house in this village.

Mrs Maher's B&B

Mrs Maher's B&BFor many a year now I've been running this B&B all on my own since my poor Paddy passed away. I have all kinds of visitors coming to stay and with the reputation I have for cooking and running a good house.

Biddy Brophy's Grocery

Biddy Brophy's GroceryRunning the local grocery store and being the postmistress is no mean feat and I have held that proud position of great trust and integrity for nearly twenty years now, having taken over from my poor Aunt Josie who had the running of the shop for forty years previous.

Joe Donnelly's Firehouse

Joe Donnelly's FirehouseMy name is Joe Donnelly and I am the Fireman in Ballykettle. I am a very busy man, what with looking after all the electric and plumbing needs of the village not to mention my involvement with training the local football team ... and Katie O'Brien!

Katie O'Briens Cottage

Katie O'Briens CottageCome in and have a cup of tea and some nicely baked scones. My name is Katie O'Brien and I'm just baking for the second time today. It's all Joe Donnelly's fault. I've stayed in Ballykettle for more years than I can remember waiting for that old fool!

Father Jack's Chapel

Father Jack's ChapelFr. Jack at your service. You might think I'm a bit arrogant when I say it's thanks to me that we have such a peaceful and loving community here in Ballykettle. It's a well known fact that when left to their own devices there's no telling what devilment people will get up to, including regular visits to the local pubs ...

Johnny O'Reillys Pub

Johnny O'Reillys PubThis is Johnny O'Reilly's pub and it is the finest, best run pub in Ballykettle. The hardest working honest men in the village, who like to stop and relax with a few drinks after a days work, frequent it. Fr. Jack is a regular visitor to this establishment, sure he likes to keep a close eye on the shenanigans ...

Brendan MacNamara's Schoolhouse

Brendan MacNamara's SchoolhouseMy name is Brendan MacNamara and I am the local schoolteacher here in Ballykettle. This is the Schoolhouse and it's here we have been turning out Ballykettle's finest for over a hundred years. Some of our past pupils have done very well for themselves ... but nothing had prepared me for young Philip Daly...

Peggy Daly's Cottage

Peggy Daly's CottageHello my name is Peggy Daly and I must tell you about my son Phillip, he's a little angel. What an adorable child and so well mannered! He really is my pride and joy. My little cottage has been in my family for years and the Dalys lived in Ballykettle long before the MacNamaras.
